Leon Hushcha’s artwork is unmistakably unique.

Regardless of genre, his work consistently conveys a sense of joy and vitality, establishing him as one of the most distinctive artists in the Twin Cities.

Freedom of expression has been his guiding principle throughout his career. Known as an expressionist and master colorist, Hushcha’s focus on surface, texture and flat space gives his work its signature identity.

He works with a variety of materials, including acrylics, oils, canvas, wood, found objects, and paper.

He credits Antoni Tàpies, Jackson Pollack, Paul Klee, Matisse and Picasso as artist influences.
